Dear Democrat,
Our names are Chaz Rice and Marci Radcliffe and it is an honor and privilege to serve as your Chair and Vice Chair of the Mercer County Democrat Committee (MCDC). We want to share with you some plans for 2012.
This year is a critical juncture in our democracy. In 2012 we have several important elections, the re-election of President Obama, Senator Bob Casey and State Treasurer Rob McCord. We have the election of Missa Eaton to the US Congress, as well as the election of strong candidates for Attorney General and Auditor General. A Republican takeover of the White House would be devastating to our country with the Republicans selling our democracy to the highest bidder.
Feet on the street and strong candidates are our most valuable resources; we have a strong cadre of volunteers but must redouble our efforts in recruiting additional volunteers to support the President and our Democrat candidates. Losing any of those races would be catastrophic for our Party as well as our country.
We need to start organizing right now for November’s election. Several of our members have stepped up to lead our standing and special committees, but we need strong, willing committee members to elect our candidates:

Fundraising Committee: Chaired by Marci Radcliffe
Publicity and Public Relations Committee: Co-Chaired by Barb Brown and Marci Radcliffe
Campaign Committee: Co-Chaired by Chaz Rice and Marci Radcliffe
Over the next several months we will be holding sessions that will develop our skills in voter contact, new member development, GOTV, use of Vote Builder, and canvassing.
